European stocks finished lower Monday, with the Stoxx Europe 600 index XX:SXXP decreasing 0.62% to 413.39.
The German DAX DX:DAX fell 2.22% to 12,760.78, the French CAC 40 index FR:PX1 fell 1.20% to 6,093.22 and the FTSE 100 index UK:UKX was flat at 7,287.43.
Of the Stoxx Europe 600 constituents, multiutilities company Uniper SE XE:UN01 saw the largest drop Monday, as shares plunged 11.0%
Shares of pharmaceuticals firm Dechra Pharmaceuticals PLC UK:DPH and motor vehicle parts company Faurecia SE FR:EO fell 10.6% and 8.9%, respectively.
Fortum Oyj FI:FORTUM , an electric utilities company, and motor vehicle parts firm Valeo SE FR:FR rounded out the top five largest decreases as their stocks declined 8.9% and 8.3%, respectively.
Orron Energy AB SE:ORRON , an oil extraction company, saw the largest increase of the Stoxx Europe 600 constituents, as shares surged 10.8% on Monday.
Shares of major oil & gas firm Equinor ASA NO:EQNR and residential building construction company Countryside Partnerships PLC UK:CSP gained 5.5% and 5.2%, respectively.
Glencore PLC UK:GLEN , a general mining company, and drug retail firm Zur Rose Group AG CH:ROSE rounded out the top five largest increases as their stocks added 4.0% and 3.9%, respectively.
The pound US:GBPUSD was up 0.04% against the dollar, and the euro US:EURUSD was down 0.26%. Brent crude US:BRN00 gained 2.29% to $95.15.
The yield on the 10-year gilt BX:TMBMKGB-10Y fell 0.96 basis points to 2.944%, and the yield on the German 10-year bund BX:TMBMKDE-10Y fell 0.026 basis points to 1.56%.
